Hello Everyone, welcome to the uTry.it Channel. This is Amy Tong. Today, I’m going to show you how to make a parchment pastry bag. They are perfect for cake decorating. Such as these chocolate decorations you see on my Tiramisù. So, let’s get started. We’ll need 1 piece of parchment paper in perfect triangle shape. Have one corner pointing toward yourself. Pick up the corner on the side and fold it to the center. And you want to make sure the points are matched together. Then, lift up the other corner and fold it over and then go under. And also at the same time, you want to make sure all the points are joined together. Gently pull the outside layer of the parchment paper toward yourself. This will tighten the cone and give you the perfect pointy tip. Then, fold in the extra paper into the cone. You’ll need to make 2 folds to secure the shape. And, that’s it. You can fill your cone with melted chocolate or icing that you want to decorate your cake with. Today, I’m using white chocolate. I’ll post the link below this video on how to temper chocolates. Simply, fold the top twice to close the bag. When you’re ready to decorate, snip off the tip of the parchment paper bag. And you can start drawing or writing. Since my next recipe is for Valentine’s Day, I’m drawing some heart-shaped chocolate decorations. Or, you can use it for writing as well. You just need to make sure all your letters are connected together. And I have 1 more tip for you. Make sure your line is not too thin, otherwise your chocolate letters might break apart when they are set. To further glam up these chocolate decorations, I dust them with a little bit edible pearl dust. I’ll list the link below this video so you know where to get them.
