How To Make A Christmas Cake!

How To Make A Christmas Cake!

Welcome to Pins and Things. Today, we’re going to be making this Christmas cake. What you’re going to need is two cooked Box cake mixes of red velvet, that’s what I’m using for Christmas And then I’m also using Teddy Grahams for topping Waffle cones for another topping, cream cheese frosting and I have also two of those food coloring, and I’m going to be using Green and Yellow. Some white chocolate chips, some mini M&Ms Sweet stripes candy, and it just looks like candy canes, and you can get them at the dollar store .Ribbon, I’m just using gold and then I also just found some cute sprinkles to go on the tree I’m going to start by cutting off the tops of the round part of the cake you can use a knife for this But I just bought this special cake cutter, so in between each layer Just put the white frosting. This will kind of give it a candy cane look Take your next layer and flip it upside down On top of that one. Do another layer of frosting. So we’re stacking it three high we don’t need the fourth cake So you’re just getting bonus cake. Bonus cake. So on this one I want to be a little bit more careful to not get so many crumbs in it or even just put in put a little bit more Frosting on there so that you won’t be able to see through to the red underneath I just found this in the holiday section And I’m going to use the one that just looks like little sugar crystals for the top to make it look like snow I’m doing this while it’s still sticky so that the Sprinkles will stay really well I’m separating some of the frosting because I want to save it to turn it green for my Christmas tree And then the rest of the frosting I’m just going to be putting around the outside Also, this doesn’t have to look nice because it will be getting covered with Candy Canes I’m just making sure that they’re straight up and down and adding all of these Candy Cane Candy onto the outside It’s also very important that you do this all this While the frosting is still sticky just so that it has something to stick onto really well and for this part right here to make It just look a little bit nicer Taking a little bit of the extra frosting ready for the green and just filling in this part Fixing it and then I’ll put Sprinkles on top of it to make it look better Now I’m just taking some gold Ribbon because I think it’s cute and Putting it around the middle of these candy canes, and I’m going to tie a little bow Now with our leftover frosting we’re just Gonna add some green to it Mix it together Turns out two wasn’t enough, so we have a third cream cheese frosting that we can add in And we’re just making more green for the Christmas tree I’m just adding a little bit of powdered sugar to this to make it a little bit thicker, so That it will hold its shape better on the C. – Look, I’m turning green I’m turning green. Oh my it looks like What I’m really doing is putting frosting into this cake decorator. Probably way too much But we’ll see and this is how we’re going to put our frosting onto our cut onto our Ice cream cone you can do this or you can also just rub put it on with a butter knife it really doesn’t matter This is what our Christmas Tree is going to be made out of. I have two waffle cause That I’m kind of putting them on each other in different directions and then I have these two underneath just to give it a flat surface to put on and it also kind of gives it the Layered look of a Christmas tree So I’m going to glue it together with frosting so I’m just going to put one of these on there And glue it like that And same with this one And same with this one We have it made the way that we want it. We’re just going to start at the very bottom and make our Christmas tree branches As I’m getting closer to the top. I’m just making the spikes a lot smaller than they were at the bottom There’s any spots that you see that need placing of more frosting It’s really easy, and it won’t mess up all the rest of your branches Okay, now I’m going to pick out my little M&Ms in all different colors and just poke them in for Christmas lights So I’m not putting green on because obviously we don’t need green and I’m just doing some reds and blues and oranges and yellows and anything that will stand out. These little Candy canes are so cute [Singing] Greatest part is if the Sprinkles fall down here nobody will notice I’m just taking some chocolate chips now and melting them in the microwave I’m just adding a little bit of yellow food coloring to this melted chocolate. So now I have my melted yellow Chocolate and I’m just going to make a star and to finish it off I’m going to put gold Sprinkles over the whole thing So now you’re just going to put it in the fridge until it’s solid. So now you’re we’re taking our multiracial Teddy Grahams and sticking them in and making them look like they’re holding hands Looking at the Christmas trees. I’m putting them in like halfway Cutting this distance in half. This looks good, you know yeah Welcome Christmas night please stand It’s so perfect! Look at that It’s so cute that was meant to be. That was meant to be! Say it again. I’m adding one more spike to the top of the tree one more just glob, so this is my little star got some sprinkles on the top of it to make it a golden and We’re just going to use that frosting to put it right in its place Just like that, so do you guys like it?
