I love the 4th of July, there’s nothing like grilling out, watching fireworks and celebrating with your friends and family and of course what is a celebration without some cake!
looking down at the top of the cake use a tooth pick mark triangles on the bottom edge of the cake. The first row of chevrons is one inch high by one and an half inches wide each chevron is 3 quarters of an inch apart once you marked your first row of chevrons go ahead and use Tip 150 on Wilton’s blue Decorator Icing Pouch and fill in your first row of chevrons. This is an easy, yet impressive cake for your 4th of July celebration.
Using the white icing pouch fitted with Tip 150 pipe 4 zigzag lines above the
triangle across the top of the cake. Repeat with 4 blue zigzag lines above the white lines. Repeat this pattern to cover the top of the cake. Using the largest cutter in the Star Cutter Nesting Metal Cutters Set imprint a large star in the center of the
cake. Use the red icing pouch with the star to outline the star area and fill in with stars. Using a
red icing pouch with the star tip pipe a star border on the bottom. Now that you’re done all that is left to do is celebrate the holiday among friends and family with a your delicious cake. From our family to yours, happy 4th of July.
