Popular Japanese chain Gram Cafe & Pancakes opened its first U.S. outpost in San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria. The first Gram Cafe opened in Osaka in 2014. Now, there are more than 60 locations across Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong. The restaurant is known for their fluffy premium pancakes which are limited to 90 orders per day, served at 11:00 am, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm. As expected, the lines started forming early and even an ABC7 News crew came later to report on the opening. The staff hands out these circular discs to the first 30 customers for those who are ordering the premium pancakes. Once they run out of discs for the fluffy pancakes, you have to wait for the next time slot. But, you can still order the other items on the menu. The souffle pancakes are made to order, and they take about 30 minutes to prepare, which is why they are limited to 3 servings per day.
