Welcome to nishamadhulika.com Today we are making Banana pancakes and kids love eating these. You can serve these pancakes at breakfast or pack in the lunch for kids. In fact, you can even make the pancakes for evening as well. Let’s start with the procedure of making Banana Pancake. Prepare a batter for making Banana Pancake. We have taken ¾ cup (100 grams) refined flour and 1/3 cup (50 grams) wheat flour. Add it to the same bowl, followed by 2 tsp powdered sugar, less than ¼ tsp salt, 4 cardamom (coarsely ground) and 1.5 tsp baking powder. Mix all the dry ingredients together. Now, peel a banana and chop finely. Try using ripped banana for making this dish. Peel and cut into small-thin chunks. Now, let’s mash the bananas. For this, transfer the banana chunks in a bowl and mash finely with a spoon. You can also place the chunks in a mixture grinder and grind finely. Add some milk and churn again to mix it quickly and easily. You can even mash with spoon but it’s quite time consuming. We are done with mashing the banana and now let’s add milk into it. We have taken 1 cup milk, mix it well and then add all the dry ingredients into it. Stir well until you get a smooth batter. Add half the amount of dough and mix well. Stir really well until smooth. Add 1 to 2 tbsp water if the batter is too thick and dense. Also, add 2 tsp ghee in the batter and mix well. Batter with running consistency is ready. The consistency of batter is same as required for making pakoras Keep aside the batter for 10 to 15 minutes and then make pancakes from it. 15 minutes are over and the batter is ready to make pancakes. Let’s start with making pancakes. For this, preheat a tawa. Try using non stick tawa for making the tawa to make pancakes easily. Tawa is sufficiently hot; spread some ghee to grease it. We don’t need too hot tawa for making the pan cakes. Reduce the flame so that the tawa cools down slightly. We need medium hot tawa for making the pan cakes. Tawa is medium hot, now let’s make pancakes. Pour 1 tsp batter on the tawa. You can keep the size of pancakes big or small as desired. Keep the size small if making for kids. Keep the flame medium and pour some ghee all around the pancake. Roast until it gets slightly brown from beneath. The color has changed on the surface. The pancake has turned brown from beneath, now flip the sides. Roast the pancake from this side as well until it gets brown spots. Pancake is roasted from this side as well, take it off flame. Similarly, prepare rest of the pancakes as well. Spread some ghee on the tawa, keep the flame low. You can even make 2 to 3 pancakes on the tawa as we are making pancakes in small size. We have spread 3 pancakes altogether on the tawa. Pour some ghee on the sides and roast pancakes on low flame. We are done with making all the pancakes and with this much batter 12 pancakes can be prepared. Mouth drooling and scrumptious Banana pancakes are ready. Serve these tempting pancakes with jam, butter or honey. Also, you can serve a glass full of milk to the kids along with these pancakes. They will relish eating these pancakes for sure.
