Hi everyone this is Lorelie and today
I’m going to show you the most incredible chocolate cake recipe on the
planet. It’s the easiest cake recipe, You dump all the ingredients in it mix it
throw it in the oven and it comes out perfect every time.
This recipe gets rave reviews on my website all the time and I’m going to
show you today exactly how to do it so stay tuned. Okay for the chocolate
buttermilk cake we have 1 and 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 cups of
granulated sugar, 3/4 cups of cocoa, 2 teaspoons of baking soda,1 teaspoon of
baking powder ,1 teaspoon of salt, one cup of buttermilk, one cup of coffee, 1/2 cup of oil, 2 teaspoons of vanilla
and 2 eggs. I also have in the description box below the measurements
in grams and ounces. So I’m going to start with the flour and I’m just going
to put all the dry ingredients together in one Bowl. This is also called a dump
recipe because you literally dump the ingredients all at once into the mixer
and just mix it. It’s so easy to do. So there’s all my dry ingredients. Next
you’re going to put your flat beater on. I’m using a KitchenAid and it’s a 5
quart Bowl, and go ahead and put all the dry ingredients in, and then I’m just
literally going to put all the wet ingredients in. Mixer on, first put it on low just to
incorporate the wet into the dry. Gonna raise the beater to medium. You’re gonna bear it for 2 minutes. This batter makes enough for two 8
inch or two 9 inch pans and I’m going to show you what the batter looks like,
it’s actually quite thin. I’m going to fill up my pans about two-thirds full Of course you could make smaller cakes,
you can make a 6-inch cake and a bunch of cupcakes and if you go to the website
you’ll see suggestions for all that stuff as well as a large batch recipe for wedding cakes (in my books):
So you’re going to make these in a 350 degree oven until done, which usually
is about 30 to 40 minutes and you’re going to be able to just press on the
tops and just be able to spring back when they’re done. Cakes just came out of
the oven, looking good just lightly touch them and they should spring back perfect.
I’m going to let them cool for about 10-15 minutes and then I’m going to take
them out of the pans. So I just popped the cake out of the pan and I’m going to
peel back the wax paper. Look at that that is so beautiful. It’s incredibly
moist, perfectly baked, delicious chocolate cake. you

  5. +wedding cakes for you, i'm planning on using this recipe for a 2 tier birthday cake, a 10 and a 6 should i use supports in the ten inch cake to support the 6 inch cake since this recipe is so moist i'm affraid the six inch will crush the 10 inch thank you 🙂

  6. Hi Loreie, that cake looks amazing. If use a 15"x15" square pan and double your recipe, can I just use one pan instead of two? I only have one pan available in my kitchen. If I can pour all the batter in one pan, when the cake is ready, will the cake's shape still be okay if I divide the cake horizontally into two with a cake knife?

  10. Hi I baked the cake, it turned out very tasty. The problem is, when I cut the cake, it is falling apart with tiny pieces, but my cake is moist enough and tastes great. where do you think I made the mistake?

  11. hi..can you please answer me some questions..so..I want to make a 2 tier cake.I want to use your chocolate cake recipe for the first tier and brush them with syrup. the filling will be mouse and cover it with smbt .and I wonder. .is it possible to collapse the cake since it will be soak with the syrup and it become too soft??or your recipe won't have problem??thanks!!

  13. Hi Lorelie, I watched all your videos and it is wonderful. Thank you for sharing. I am Rosemary and from India. I would love to make a 3- tier fondant cake for my sister's wedding in February. Can I use this chocolate cake as base for a 3 – tier? Or will it be too soft for a 3- tier in Indian climate( too hot )?. Does it have any problems with the climate? DO you have any suggestions?

The cake didn’t work for me it rose in the middle and it was supposed to be my birthday cake it is not tall enough and now I guess I will have to make a different recipe and wait another half an hour for my milk and lemon to turn into buttermilk. Otherwise the cake tastes nice but it doesn’t work for a birthday cake. And the cake didn’t cook comletely but that is probably because its round.
