Today our dish is Apple Pan Cake. Wonderful! So what are the ingredients? So let’s start. First, I shall peel off the apple. Now I shall chop it in small pieces. I shall make the caramel sauce with it. We will keep the chopped apple in lemon juice… so that it won’t get black. So, lemon prevents the black spots of apple? Yes. Now I need a deep pan where I shall make the caramel sauce. First I need sugar. I shall keep some sugar from this bowl, so that we can use it in the batter if needed. Caramel is done. It has taken a brown colour. I have missed before. I need butter too. This dish needs to have a buttery aroma. Now we add the butter and then the apple slices. We add a little cinnamon powder now. And some lemon skin. This broth will be boiled for 5-7 minutes. The apple slices will be mixed well and the sauce will be ready. We will make the pan cake batter on it. The sauce is ready. I shall keep it for cooling. One teaspoon baking powder is mixed with egg yolk. Can you add the flour slowly while I whisk the egg? Sure. See, the batter is getting thicker. Now you pour the sauce in it. You need it all? You keep on pouring. That’s enough. Now I need a frying pan for making the Pan Cake. And we need refined oil. I shall pour the batter in the oil in small portions. We will turn it when one side is cooked. Flipping and turning are done. So our Apple Pan Cake is ready. Now it’s time for plating.
